Lactate Threshold (LT) Customized Workouts

Your legs are burning, heart rate is pounding, breathing is rapid, talking has ceased and you’re wondering when you can stop. Sounds uncomfortable—well you’re likely experiencing a sudden rise in lactic acid. Physiologists refer to this “point” in exercise where the muscles begin to produce lactic acid as the Lactate Threshold.

What is your projected Lactate Threshold heart rate? Should it change based on your seasonal training? If you’re interested in learning more about how your body performs during workouts and how to get the most of your triathlon training, then a customized Lactate Threshold profile from Dave Scott is the answer. In a review of your seasonal training and racing plans, Dave will steer your training and racing so that it maximizes your physiology, including measuring your workload, heart rate, speed and perceived exertion as you train. All these factors provide the keys to understanding your Lactate Threshold heart rate and will generate the race results you are looking for.

Dave will prescribe specific and detailed workouts measuring workload, heart rate, speed and perceived exertion to determine LTHR.

Video Analysis for Better Biomechanics!

There is simply no better way to critique your form – and improve your training and race results – than a video analysis from the expert, Dave Scott. With our directions, simply send in your video footage or have your video shot live, here at the Dave Scott world headquarters in sunny, Boulder, Colorado, or at a preferred travel location.

Swimming video analysis is available for all four swim strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breastroke and butterfly. Each stroke analysis includes a review of body position, breathing, recovery and entry, underwater pull, stroke finish and overall body symmetry. In addition to the swim analysis, Dave includes specific swim drills to help improve your stroke. *If mailing in your video footage, please refer to our “DSI Home Video Instructions: prior to recording.

Cycling video analysis includes a critique of bike position, in-depth critique of your body position, hip drop, knee flexion, ankle movement, arm extension, elbow flexion, and head and neck position. Video footage should also include seated riding style, aero-position and climbing out of the saddle. *If mailing in your video footage, please refer to our “Home Video Instructions” prior to recording.

Run video analysis includes head-to-toe biomechanics, including foot strike, knee flexion, hip movement, low and mid-back alignment, arm carriage, head and body symmetry. *If mailing in your video footage, please refer to our “Home Video Instructions” prior to recording.

Swim videos, please read: If ordering a Swim Video Analysis, your pricing is calculated by the total of swim types (freestyle, backstroke, breastroke, butterfly) being evaluated. When sending in footage that includes 3-4 swim types, you would fall under the Tri-Sport category. If filming freestyle only, you would fall under the Single-Sport category.
